Volunteers are placed as instructors and tutors three times a year, corresponding with the spring, summer, and fall terms. If you would like to teach or tutor, kindly send a curriculum vitae and a cover letter detailing degrees earned or being pursued, other areas of study or academic interest, teaching experience, and other relevant professional experience.
After you have submitted your materials, we will send you information about our next in-person orientation. The orientation provides an overview of our program and requirements of volunteers. All prospective faculty must attend a new volunteer orientation before volunteering, so it's an important first step, even if you haven't yet been appointed as an instructor or tutor.
After the orientation, you will be added to our mailing list to receive our triannual semester survey, which we send in October, February, and June. Staff will review survey results and invite those who appear to be a good match for the program for more one-on-one discussion of the possibility of teaching or tutoring.
If you are interested in teaching a class that is not listed, please include a course description with your CV and cover letter.
