## MATH 50A: Developmental Math

This course will teach important fundamentals of math. We will learn computation using order of operations, fractions, and decimals. We will apply these concepts to real-world problems. We will build a foundation of concepts to prepare students for Math 50B and, ultimately, algebra.

## MATH 50A: Developmental Math

This course will teach important fundamentals of math. We will learn about integers, simplifying expressions, and solving equations. We will gain confidence in applying these skills to solving real- world problems. We will build on the foundation of concepts from Math50A, exploring more advanced topics in math in preparation for Algebra.

## MATH 99: Elementary Algebra

Algebra is a key field of study in mathematics and this course will serve as your introduction to this field. The skills taught in Elementary Algebra will serve as the foundational tool for understanding not only higher math, such as geometry and calculus, but as a “language” for understanding the principles of chemistry, engineering, physics, biology and more! Studying algebra will introduce you to an elegant way of representing mathematical ideas.

## MATH 115: Intermediate Algebra

This course will teach algebraic manipulation and functional thinking. We will learn about numbers, functions, equations and their graphs. We will gain confidence in graphing and in solving real-world problems using functional representation. We will build on the foundation of concepts from Elementary Algebra, exploring more advanced topics in algebra.

## MATH 221: Pre-Calculus II

Welcome to Pre-Calculus II! In this course we will continue our study of the elements of analytic geometry and functions that will prepare you for Calculus, with a strong emphasis on the trigonometric functions. We will improve our problem-solving skills with applications to a wide variety of fields including science and engineering. We hope that you find this course to be interesting and challenging. It is our job and our pleasure to help you to be successful in this course! *Prerequisite*: Pre-Calculus I or the equivalent.
